If your name is Lillianna, then it is a name that makes you want to smile. It is very pretty.

I can only speak from my point of view. I have a relatively common name, but spelled in a less common sort of way. (sort of like the name MARK vs. MARC.) I've always been annoyed when people spell my name wrong. I've always made myself think about it like this: It IS my name. My parents specifically spelled it that way a reason. Granted, SPELLING is one thing.... an actual "strange" name is another thing altogether.
Assuming you can..... have you ever discussed with your parents WHY they named you the way they did? Did they just think the name was "neat" or did they have a reason to name you as they did?
If it turns out that they did have some reason for naming you as they did, you might find that knowing that history may give you a better appreciation for your name.
I would suggest discussing it with them and not to do anything rash before considering all the angles.
Good Luck!

Your name is what can make you unique. If you hate it that bad you could try a nickname. Have your friends and teachers call you by it. Remember that even though your name may be weird to you, it could be the most popular name in a few years.

So how can we judge if your name is really all that weird? How would you like to have my name? Whenever someone is writing it, I have to jump in and say that I spell it with a "K". And then they look at me like I have 2 heads, and I just shrug and say "mom was eccentric" if I don't feel like going into the whole rigamarole about how I was named after my grandmother who was from Poland and her name was "Kunegunda" and thank God they didn't call me that!

A name is a name...It's no refection of who the person is...but if it bothers you so much, change it when you legally can. Hopefully your young and there won't be too much turmoil involved with a name a change.

I can't see why you wouldn't change your name.
It's you that it affects, everyone else can learn to live with the change.
Nearly everyone has nick-names etc, that they are known by, so what's the difference.

so use your middle name. If you change your name ,it would be a insult to your parents...........My first name in Lynn, I just learned to live with it and not be ashamed of it. Now I realize it makes me unique
