In my sleep, peacefully

2007-04-14 15:28:05 · answer #1 · answered by ? 6 · 0 0

I don't know that I'm so concerned with how I'll die. Most hopefully, it will be a quick-painless process. I think I'm most concerned about how I live my life. I hope I dont die on a bad note. That I die when my life feels in order and accomplished. That I have helped enough people and enjoyed my time here.
So, if anything I hope I die with a somewhat clear conscience.

Quickly with no pain, on a nice medium temperature, sunny day. One of those days where you feel like you can conquer anything by just walking or looking up at the sky. Which of course must be an incandescent blue with fluffy clouds. A day when you feel in love and loved....I want to die on a wonderful day!

I would like to die in my sleep at an old age. It would be the least painful for me and hopefully I would have lived a long, productive life.

Hmm I guess either sleeping or falling really far, both at a nice old age. Sleeping would be nice and peaceful but falling would be kind of fun, just as long as it isn't for a while though.

Well I think it's excrutatingly painful to be born, and our brain blockeds it out so we can't remember, because we couldn't stand it, much like a bad car accident where you can't remember getting hurt.
I don't think death hurts so bad, your brain protects you from it.
Although my late husband was induced into a coma medically because he was in so much pain.
My father died in his sleep one thing he always wanted. My Mom was fully aware when she bled to death in the hospital.
She just closed her eyes and stopped breathing.
My sister died in the night in palitive care at the hospital, and a good friend of mine died from lung cancer.
He begged to die for the last few hours 'cause he couldn't catch his breath and it took all his strength to do so. It was like being starved of oxygen. He opened his eyes before he stopped breathing.
Now for me, if I.m in the hospital, GIVE ME DRUGS! If not, please make it quick!

I have heard that great saints ,instead of killing their bodies with some disease, simply sit in meditation and leave their body. This is call mahasamadhi. I think this would be a neat way to leave ones body.

As long as I'm awake and lucid, it really doesn't make any difference to me (as long as I'm not drowning or the like). I figure death is the last great adventure of your life, and I want to know what it's like.

I want god to appear before me in the form of a large ravenous banana and swallow me whole.
