so many wonderful performers, from bowie and jagger to robert plant to elvis costello to U2....and phil collins even flew across the pond to perform in both places.

but i think the best performer, in the sense of results for the objective of getting financial contributions towards solving world hunger was bob geldof himself.

he dreamed up the whole thing, supervised it, and even went on the air to stir up more donations by saying "People are dying NOW. Give us the money NOW. Give me the money now."

so yeah, bob geldof took the show.
