You need to check the entrance requirements of the program or programs that you are considering. Go to the website and look at what they require of applicants. Even better, go talk to someone at the school (not just an admissions counselor, but someone in the nursing department). Ask about how it might impact your license after you complete school.

I don't think that it will impact your admission to the school. Some employers down the road may hold it against you, and as I noted, you will want to check state licensing requirements - people at the nursing school will be able to answer these questions better than anyone here can.

When I applied to nursing school a few years ago, they didn't check my DMV record. I guess if they run a credit check, it's possible in some states it's on there. I would be honest with them and find out. If you know what's good for you, you'll quit. A nurse's judgment cannot be impaired by drugs or alcohol.
