12/x + 3/4 = 3/2

8x(12/x) + 8x(3/4) = 8x(3/2)

96 + 6x = 12x

96 + 6x - 6x = 12 - 6x

96 = 6x

96 / 6 = 6x / 6

96 / 6 = x

16 = x

Insert the x value into the equation

Check

12/x + 3/4 = 3/2

12/16 + 3/4 = 3/2

3/4 + 3/4 = 3/2

6/4 = 3/2

3/2 = 3/2

So 12/x = 3/2 - 3/4 = 3/4.
Therefore x/12 = 4/3, so x = 4(12/3) = 4(4) = 16.

12/x + 3/4 = 3/2

12/x + 3/4 - 3/4 = 3/2 - 3/4

12/x = 6/4 - 3/4

12/x = 3/4

12 = (3/4)x

12 / (3/4) = x

x = 12 * 4/3

x = 16

Hi, i'd love to help you
okay so this is how i would do it:

12/x + 3/4 = 3/2

12/x + 3/4 - 3/4 = 3/2 - 3/4

12/x = 6/4 - 3/4

12/x = 3/4

12 = (3/4)x

12 / (3/4) = x

x = 12 * 4/3

x = 16--------------ANSWER

Hope this helps! happy calculating!!!!

gotta get x by itself on one side of the equal sign and everything else on the other side.

So first, subtract 3/4 from both sides.

12/x = 3/2 - 3/4
12/x = 6/4 - 3/4
12/x = 3/4
now we can solve by cross-multiplying
3x = 48
divide by 3
x = 16

subtract 3/4 from both sides to get 12/x=3/2-3/4 which gives 12/x=3/4 then multiply both sides by x to get 12=3x/4. now multiply by 4 then divide by 3 to get x=4*12/3
