Animal groups often have surprising and entertaining designations. A group of leopards is called a "leap" or "prowl". If you google "animal groups" you will find many websites that give you interesting lists. For instance a barrel of monkeys, a bloat of hippos, a tower of giraffe. Happy hunting!

Apart from a few in common use, most collective nouns for animals are metaphorical uses from literature, not old or common names. Leopards are solitary animals and are never seen in groups. The most you will see together is a male and a female for a short while during mating and then a female with one, perhaps two cubs.
