How can I find my skin undertone?

I have dark brown hair and brown eyes, and I was wondering, how can you find your undertone? I've heard that one way to find it is to look at your veins, but I seem to have greenish veins in my arms, but also blue-ish veins on my hands. So, how do I find it?

Another way to tell is which is more flattering: Gold jewelry (warm) or silver jewelry (cool).

You are probably have a warm tone. The wrist is a better indicator than the hand because the skin on the hand is very thin.
