They back up their sources, and they have the most up-to-date statistics from the gov; I don't know of any other site that publishes that so detailed and so quickly from the government..
Always make sure to check for sources (like studies) when you visit sites on Google. That'll separate the facts from nonsense.
I'm sure many of the regular posters here in this section know that I'm against infant circumcision, but that's why I always provide the sources to my claims; otherwise in the way I see it, it's just inaccurate data if not backed up.

I hope that little bit of advice helps when you're out there researching. =)

You certainly can find all the information you seek simply thru a Google search.
Regardless of what you read as" for or against", not to mention the myth of the Christian Bible with regards to circumcision, the final decision is usually made by parents at birth of a son or even before that when knowing the sex.
Unfortunately, and so sad it is, the reasoning for circumcision is as weak as a wet paper bag. The constant cry is always the same..."circumcision will prevent infection".
WRONG...so very wrong...cleanliness prevents infection...! Men can live their entire life with never having an infection on or about their penis and do so simply by maintaining a cleanliness habit all their life.
This cleanliness begins at birth from the parents and when the boy is more self sufficient, it's the parents' responsibility to ascertain the boy continues his cleanliness therafter.
A baby feels pain, so why do parents subject their newborn to such pain ? Some parents even wait until the boy is older. Some say the longer you wait the more painful it is. Well, how could the pain be possibly less for a baby ?
Why do people get all hyped up for cicumcision as an act of cleanliness when in essence it isn't ? The foreskin has a purpose. Where will you read that so that you can make a sensible choice and not be led by the so-called status quo ?
For one purpose, the foreskin is a dust cap, for lack of a better term at this momment. As like the female vulva, it acts as a shield from foreign particles or organisms that could create irritation and / or infections. When either sex maturbates the risk of infectious disease is heightened from exposure of germs carried by hands. Obviously, cleanliness before and after masturbation is more important than circumcision. Yeast can form under a foreskin and lead to serious problems but removing the foreskin does not remove the risk entirely. Only cleanliness can. Thre are many things that can cause infections and the only real preventative medecine is cleanliness, not circumcision.
An additional purpose of the foreskin, which I rather doubt will be rarely found in print anywhere, is that the foreskin acts a "slide bearing" during intercourse. daaaaaaa......what in dickens is that...?
When the penis enters the vaginal tunnel, the foreskin enters partly also and reduces female irritation when there is insuficient lubrication. Not all females produce sufficient lubricant for extended time intercourse and males certainly don't. As well, when females grow older they normally will produce less lubricant, altho not all females have this befall them.
So then, before making the choice of "do or don't", consider first the long term affects of circumcision and don't be misled by the status quo. Cleanliness is the right choice...!

www.circlist.com has probably the most and unbiased information on the internet. maybe a little on the proside but has more actual medical fact than most other sites about it.
most of the guys that post either pro or anti circumcision on here wouldn't really have a clue. as they are mostly either circumcised at birth or still have a foreskin. how could they know either way apart from reading random things on the internet.

Circumcision is definitely NOT a medical necessity. Recent articles have been posted saying that circumcision has been found to reduce the incidence of HIV transmission...in subsaharan Africa. Do not believe the hype!
We have a son who is uncut, completely healthy and has been given the CHOICE to decide when he is old enough whether or not he wants to get cut when he is older...until then, he'll remain a healthy uncut boy.
There are some great sites that other people have listed. Read, educate yourself and you'll make the right decision.

Circumcision is definitely not a must. Every medical organisation in the world now admits that the risks, even on the grossly distorted statistics we have, balance or outweigh the so-called benefits. So they all say that routine infant circumcision is not warranted. The statistics for complication rates are distorted because they only record stats for complications that show up straight away. Many complications, like too much skin removed or skin bridges, don't show up till puberty or later.

You wont get a better read from minds made up pro circumcisioning,or against it.
But to make up your mind by yourself and no one else, try to read in your own body, studying the feelings and function, nature of your own lips (or clitoral foreskin)and given your until now health/hygiene consider if all downs and pros will warrant to be better without those tissues because they are made of the same as a foreskin is made.
Bit of just extra skin?

Check out the American Medical Association and the American Association of Pediatrics websites for their statements that it is not medically necessary.
