I've actually asked this same question on YA myself.
They read it in the Treason (NY) Times, heard it on CNN or listen to Maher and Moore too much.
The definition of word is actually an insult to Liberals, I mean if I were a liberal I'd be insulted by members of my party defecting to the other side.
Miriam Webster Online offers this definition
"1 : a former liberal espousing political conservatism
2 : a conservative who advocates the assertive promotion of democracy and U.S. national interest in international affairs including through military means"
Libs are so brainwashed that they can actually admit that their sources of knowledge are controlled by Liberals but can not see it as the reason why the believe the lies they know. You can state very plainly that Libs controll the public educational system and the media and Liberals won't protests. But, if you try to connect the dots between "Your main source of information" and "the false information you possess" they will fight you tooth and nail.
Like us Conservatives possess some ray gun we use to brainwash people without them realizing it.
Now, as if to add insult injury, Liberal politicians are refusing to participate in Presidential Debates because, are you ready for this, Fox News is a co-sponsor. Their reasoning is that Fox News leans to the Conservative side of the spectrum. One even went as far as to say CNN is a more suitable venue... CNN, of all the liberal media outlets they choose the Communist News Network... Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

It is the liberals attempt to make the term conservative a negative word. People don't like to be called liberal. Even liberals shy away from calling themselves liberal because it's not seen in a positive light. Majority of this country thinks its more conservative then liberal. So the libs are trying to turn the tables and think by using this new catch phrase, neocons, it will turn the term conservative into as bad a word as the term liberal is in todays society. It won't work because even the dems know that in order to win elections and to be seen in a more positive light they have to go more twds the right then the left because this country, thank goodness, is still more conservative then liberal.

Marx replaced right into a douche, and a racist and chilly hearted one at that. What did he say, that some 10% of the international inhabitants might choose to "die off" for his Utopian imaginative and prescient to be found out, and it replaced right into a result he replaced into prepared to settle for to realize his socialist dream... we gained't have those mouth breathers sucking up powerful components that in a position bodied persons could use. George Bernard Shaw, one in all Marx's followers, used Marx's writings to recommend for eugenics, and Shaw replaced into the muse for Hitler. some sturdy organisation you have there. the way Marx's communism continually finally ends up, a sh*thole existence with an authoritarian, or worse a totalitarian, government dictating your each and every pass is an unavoidable area result and the main reason his concepts could be prevented. Obama is probably not an entire blown Marxist, yet he specific is pushing us in that course. consistent with probability you like the watered down Marxist version as a perfect label for Obama? An authoritarian progressive. we don't even have an truthfully democracy right here interior the US, we've a representative democracy. they're uniquely diverse. And compound that with the certainty that we are a Constitutional Federal Republic. Federalism is infrequently like minded with that left wing loon Marx and his concepts.

I tell you what else is funny. On the same posted question, I've been called a liberal, a neocon, and a conservative by different people.
I think some people just use political labels as an expletive here.

Some people self-identify as Neo-Cons, so calling them that is just using the label they have adopted for themselves.
Other than that, there is a potential problem with making generalizations when talking about any group. Especially when we attribute specific beliefs or practices to the entire group.
That being said, the concept of a Neo-Conservative is fairly well defined if you know the history of the conservative movement over the past 30 years. So, while it might be difficult to pin down exactly which individuals are or are not members or adherents, as a collective group the term is at least reasonable coherent. When used properly.

Why did we go to war with Iraq and linked it with 9/11 when there was not link?
Why do cons call Dems communists when they are not?
Why Swiftboaters attacked Kerry who served in Vietnam but did not attack Bush even though he was drunk in US at the time of war?
Why we call media "liberal" , when most of the pundits are pro administration and conservative?
Why "liberal" media does not ask Cons hard questions ?
Like question Cheyney's assertions on links between Saddam and alQaida?
Why?
Why?
Why?

To whom are you referring? I've not seen any posts where anyone has misused the label of neoconservative.
By the way 'Jake', the word you're looking for is deluded, not 'diluted'. I think your picture does explain why you have the two confused...
I can see that some of the posters on here don't understand this term, however...
Yes, it does mean "new conservative", because these "new conservatives" believe in a strange form of laissex faire government...loose regulations regarding business, extremely strict regulations regarding security, civil liberties, and private property ownership. Old fashioned conservatives believe in small government all around and want loose regulation of civil liberties.
