My steering wheel wont stay straight. I installed it straight but when i go driving it turns almost 90 degrees and stays like that even if im driving staright. I already took it off numerous times putting it back on staright what could be wrong? 1986 GMC 1500

You're putting it on with the wheels crooked.

in order to get the steering wheel straight you should have an alignment done however there is an adjustment by the left front wheel you'll need to loosen the 2 bolts on the steering linkage turn the adjusting sleeve until the steering wheel is straight tighten the bolts never drive with these bolts loose!

tire belts could have slipped - tires might be out of round.
