The other day a telemarketer kept calling my house. Like 10 times in one night the same number w/ the name "Medallion" called. I didn't answer until finally I got really frustrated, picked up the phone, & although I'm usually nice to telemarketers, I completely biitched them out & told them to take my # off their list as soon as they said hello.
When I was done yelling, the guy said, "Umm this is Johnathan with the US Special Olympics, we just wanted to ask you to donate to help our cause. Sorry."
I felt sooo bad. Does this make me a bad person?? :[

No, not a bad person. They may have been scaming you for all you know.
Special Olympics usually have reps that collect door to door not over the phone. Don't worry, you did fine.

No, not really, remember ,he might be faking the cause. Why don't you register with the "National Do Not Call" list? Then you won't be bothered with the telemarketers. I believe that some charities are allowed to call.

No. It does not make you a bad person. We are all inundated with unwatned telemarketers. You did not know it was yet another one. I would have felt bad too, but you did not know who was calling and are like me. . . .sick of your phone constantly ringing for silly stuff. Send them five dollars and you will be fine. LOL.

o way not at all, if you knew it was them calling we all know you wouldn't of bugged out like that but since you thought it was a telemarketer you did.

no, those telemarketers make it so difficult to be nice to other strangers who call for other reasons. they have a "do not call" registry and it makes it illegal for telemarketers to call you 90 days after you sign up. life is a lot more peaceful now that they don't call us anymore. :)

You could have done what a friend did, let them say thier pitch from start to finish 4 times while each time when they were done saying it, he would say he could not hear them and to say it all over again. He could hear just fine. he did it just to be a jerk. then said he was not interest then hung up.

no but if you do fell bad then donate to it and call they guy bake and say " i am sorry i have guys calling me 10 times a day and i thoutet it was you i am really sorry "

Not a bad person..I can understand your frustration but, you should never cuss someone out on the phone. They are just doing their job..You can calmly tell them you are not interested and to please remove your number from their list..
