I don't think there is anything wrong with body piercing or Tattoos but I wonder what is really going on with a person when they go to extremes like having every part of there body pierced and /or Tattooed.

It is the way people expressing themselves nowadays.
We had poodle skirts and hoola hoops, pompadours and leather jackets, flowered shirts and bellbottoms, big hair and eyeliner (girls AND guys!) and now its moved to permanent expression. Though I often wonder what they will be thinking when they are 60 and they have m&m sized holes in their ears and tattoos of things that look like wrinkled paper bags, but oh well.

I just think it is gonna be wierd to be anywhere 30 years from now and see 60 year old grandma's with huge wrinkly tribal tattoos? They better be smart and get their sweaters 3 sizes too big.! :)

It has a lot to do with self expression. I think teens want to have some control over their bodies.

maybe they just like it!!! i`m well over 30 & i just started with my piercings & tattoos about 6 years ago!!!

Human Devolution, "conditional selection" has overridden natural selection and we're breeding ourselves dumb. Seriously...I used to work in a tattoo shop, I know.

Its about being different and trying something new you weren't able to before, its something out of the norm which is attractive to younger adults/ teens.
