I love boy sounding names for girls - somehow it's strong, but still feminine. My middle name is Rae and my daughter's name is Ryanne (Ryan). I don't think boys should have girl sounding names, though - even the biggest linebacker named Stacy or Lynn seems a bit odd!

Well I always liked Francessca and calling a girl Frankie, until I dated a Frank, lol. Charlie is cute for Charlotte and Toni for Antoinette. I don't know where Rachey Rae comes from but I don't like that one.

I love it! My own mother nearly called me Shaun which I would've loved but I have to settle for my granny occasionally referring to me as Louie.

I suppose it's all about the person, they may be the kind of girl who prefers the feminine version or not, it's good that someone can have the choice of either.

i like it. Make it very sparkling from the beginning up that your character is a female, nonetheless, or readers like me gets puzzled! i'm for my area all in favour of it, because of the fact i'm no longer partial to maximum female names. certainly one of my popular books has the considerable character have a female call, and it makes for each form of exciting communicate to boot.

I think that any name you like for your child will be great. Your feelings for your child - and the name- will shine through.

As for me, though, I am not too big on nicknames.
Best wishes to you!

I think it's cute.
Stephanie could be Stevie.
My mom almost named me Stephanie simply so that she could call me that!
Francesca could be Franky.
I think that it is a spunky nick-name that is really cute!
