I use Mobil 1 Synthetic in my car, and I love the way it runs.... The engine seems to spin more freely with the synthetic... and over the last 60,000 miles I haven't seen much loss in performance... (the car has ~193,000 miles on it right now).

Oil is basically oil. Synthetic will last longer and keep your engine in good shape for a long time but how long will your car last? I used Mobil 1 in my 94 Dodge truck all the time I had it,
right up to the time the body rusted off it . I had a great engine in a junk of a truck. I just wasted a huge amount of money for no return.

It seems like when I switch to synthetic it makes the seals start leaking. This makes my wallet thinner and it fits in my back pocket easier. More comfortable to drive for long periods.
I use whatever regular oil Valvoline recommends based on my drivng habits and mileage.

I see a difference when using synthetic oil instead of regular oil, I get better gas mileage.

We've had problems with Pennzoil and those made by Pennzoil. The Wal-Mart brand didn't do well in our 2003 Van either.
The other thing is how old your vehicle is, and whether or not it calls for synthetic oil. You can check your owners Manuel, or if you don't have it, Look for the HAYNES or CHILTON Manuel for your car, and it should tell you. They are usually available at your local library.

Mobil 1 gave me about a 10% increase in gas mileage and easier sub zero starting.

I use synthetic - I had a valve sticking and making a clicking noise and when I switched it stopped.
