There is a claim:
The fundamental reason why the U.S. Senate is more passionate than the House of Representatives is the Senate’s larger size of 435 members.
Is it true?
I am equally interested in your personal opinions as the common beliefs if it is true in the official sense. But please identify if it's your opinion. Thank you.

You have it backwards. It's the House that's more reactionary. It was done that way to balance state rights against equal representation. House members each represent about the same number of people. But since each state gets two Senators, even the smallest state has an equal voice.

That, and the length of term. Senators serve for 6 years, and are a smaller body, so they are a more selective club.

Represenatives need to run every 2 years, and they only have to appeal to their local district, rather than to the entire state, so they can be far more focused on local partisan issues.

The Senate only has 100 members and all of them think they should be president. The Senate is more deliberative than the House so that makes them less prone to rash decisions.

I believe it is because they don't have to bow to corporations every two years, they run just every six years!
