I'm not talking beginning to end but I have noticed in some of the ones I've purchased that they'll have misc glitches(or whatever) here and there.

That's actually normal. Dvds nowadays are DUAL-Layer. The dvd surface is heated by the laser beam which melts the surface down, but only to the first layer. Then the laser will 'back up' and burn that same area but this time burn it hotter so that it melts down to another layer. The 2nd layer. During this process of backing up and reburning you will sometimes see glitches, digital boxes or short pauses. There is very small fine print (usually on the back/bottom) somewhere on the dvd case that explains this as well. :-)

Dust or scratches on the disc or in your machine. Take some alcohol and a disc cleaning cloth and go at it. It sould also be a finger print.
