American Idol...?

Okay, people, I have a question for you, is it not stupid that people "HATE" Sanjaya? I mean seriously, I hope he wins. There are all these idiots, voting for guys like Blake, (who really can't sing, to be honest) and then say Sanjaya is terrible. I heard from my local news channel that one girl vowed to stop eating until Sanjaya was voted off, and went without food for 16 days. These people voting are stupid, I mean really, think about it. And I can't beleive that some people will actually pay to vote. How can you say Sanjaya is bad, and have this whole thing on about him, when you've got people like Taylor that one last year? That was the biggest joke ever. Chris Richardson is a TERRIBLE singer and noone says anything. Sanjaya isn't very good, but there are worst singers in the competition. American Idol is just dumb. The best singers in this so-called "singing" competition are Lakisha and Melinda. And last year, the contestant with the best vocal was Mandisa. To win American Idol, all you have to do is get Randy and Paula to like you, and have a personality that most people will like. You don't need a great voice like Lakisha. Since people have really only given out about Sanjaya, which I thought was stupid when you have people like Blake in the competition, I hope Sanjaya wins.

I don't hope Sanjaya wins because of his vocals (he really isn't too good) or because of his looks our anything. I hope he wins because there's a big thing about him going on and he is not the worst singer that's been on American Idol.

I totally agree, people are blowing the "I Hate Sanjaya" thing WAY out of proportion. I think it just started when he did a bad song or something, then EVERYONE just started jumping on the bandwagon, which is really dumb. He's NOT THAT BAD. And to all you Sanjaya-haters out there, come on! It's not HIS fault people keep voting for him to stay in the competition. It's not like he can just quit so people stop hating him. GIVE HIM A BREAK, he's NOT THAT BAD! He's been getting WAY better, I think. But I don't like the diss on Blake and Chris! I think they're awesome!! Sanjaya's not my favorite, but I really don't think he's that bad. Anyway, here's my top 7:

You see the real problem is NOT Sanjaya. It's the show judges and producers and the crap that they were trying to pull on the American public. The producer's get to decide the top 24 .... During Hollywood week the judge's and the producers saw how untalented Sanjaya was BUT they chose to put him through knowing that his weird presentation would attract attention to the show. This tactic has been applied before by AI . Remember John Steven's and Kevin Kovasis(sp) Both loser voices embodied in weird young men.... Though this time it has back fired for one reason or another. The public SHOULD make this guy win to make A.I. ONLY put up legitimate candidates for the title.

Okay I am with you. Phil has been so off key these last 2 weeks that's it's painful to hear him sing. I can not stand Blake either. I think that it will come down to Melinda and Lakisha. I can't see Sanjaya lasting all the way til the end but there are a couple of others that really really need to go.

I don't like Sanjaya, mostly because of his hair. But I agree with you 100% that he's definately not the worst singer on the show. I think Melinda and Lakisha are the best. The other's don't even come close to how talented they are

I'm sorry, but I couldn't disagree with you more. I love music, and Blake makes music! His voice is great and he's very gifted. Even if he doesn't win, I'm sure he's going to go a long way in the music industry. I don't think Sanjaya can sing or keep a tune, and should've been gone long ago from the competition. If you don't like the show, please watch something else. In the meantime, this idiot will continue to vote for someone talented, like Blake Lewis.

Taylor won last year because he was chosen by votefortheworst (just like the mighty sanjaya has been this season). The problem is, that Sanjaya has sucked since they hit Hollywood, and now he's starting to believe his own press. He's not a good singer, he's a little creepy. I think he's the next Michael Jackson...and I don't mean millions sold, I mean owning a monkey named bubbles, sleeping with little boys, naming children Blankie, and fleeing the country in shame...

we all have our own opinions, my opinion is that most of the best (aside from Lakisha and Melinda...Phil too...have already been sent home).

He wins, I lose faith that anyone in America isn't tone deaf, and AI loses my viewership.

Well, I agree people are crazy over sanjaya. I never thought he was that bad. I dont particularly like him or his style but never thought he seriously lacked talent. I agree that Chris isnt great. My husband thinks he's good but I dont. Anyway, its a trendy thing. Its cool to hate Sanjaya. I remember when I was in high school it was "cool" to belesbian and most people were, until next year of course. Anyway, I loved Gina and Im quite irate that she's gone. At least the semi-talented mini skirt is gone. BTW, I love Blake!

true that. i like sanjaya. my friend sent me his studio recordings and he's actually pretty good. just because hes bad live, doesnt mean hes bad at all. and i'm sure it would be the studio dubbing some of his voice because he is in the american idol competition, they cant do that. ALSO, he isnt even bad live! people just need to STFU and if they hate him oh so much, than quit bothering him. duh..i vote for him very week along with melinda.

Chris Richardson sounds like a deflating balloon in my book.
Even Blake for that matter can't really sing that well, he always picks a song that is similar but fits in a certain genre they need to sing, so it's like hearing 'repeat' on your walkman but the genre changes.
Sanjaya is the most versatile when it comes to the guys... he really can sing a song for the genre, find a style that matches, and easily gets into the mood.
Phil I think is the best guy singer left though. Will he win? Most Likely not. Why? He's so quiet and is forgotten amongst all these distinct, bold personalities and looks a bit like he's going to cry... all the time.
