If France, Germany, and the U.K. could wave a magic wand...?

would they deport their burgeoning Muslim populations?

Muslims in the Netherlands were so ungrateful to their host country that they demanded the native citizens change their culture to suit Muslim preferences. The situation was so exasperating that the Netherlands government finally required all prospective immigrants to view a video depicting typical Amsterdam life. (some Muslims protested that they could not watch the video since it showed, gasp!........ women not wearing veils)

The U.K. has had Muslim demonstrations openly calling for the annihilation of their host countries. France has something like 175 separate areas where the police don't even try to patrol. Germany has big crime problems stemming from their huge Muslim population.

So, what do you think? Is there some advantage to having them there, or should they be considered unwelcome guests?

To Shakespeare: if you bothered to read my profile, you'd see I'm IN EUROPE. I know what I'm talking about, and I take another trip to France next months, when I am sure to be appalled by seeing Muslim women encased in sweltering burkas, while normal people are walking in shorts and tank tops. I was also in Turkey last year. The area I was in had no overt problem with strident, religious intolerance. People were dressed in a very western fashion. If they were walking the streets of Milan, Italy, they would have blended in fine.

To Coragryph: as always, your posts are intelligent and well reasoned, but I don't agree that they would protest less if given full religious freedom. If anything, it gives them this exaggerated sense of entitlement, and they just demand more.

they would never admit it but HELL YES! in a heart beat. the Muslims are making themselves unwanted guests. if you had house guests, and they gathered together and talk about how you are an infidel and should be killed, you would not want them there, right? Libs can not see this.

Those are countries that don't normally grant unfettered religious freedom -- so, for them there is little problem in enforcing national or cultural norms that are in conflict with the religious practices of the Islamic faith. I believe England still has a nationally sanctioned religion (the Anglican church), which has special status over any other religion.

But every country, including the US, has had problems with large immigrant populations that want to follow their own local cultural and/or religious practices. The US has had Amish and Menonite communities since it was founded, and those communites do not adopt anything close to 'average' US culture.

Any time a country tries to enforce one particular culture on everyone there is going to be a problem. The larger the country, the more diverse its population, and the bigger the problem. I'd be willing to bet that if these Muslims were allowed to follow their own religious practices (within the bounds of law) without being criticized or forced to change, there would be much less outcry against the host govts.

Why do terrorists attack any country - they can never achieve anything by those actions No matter how successful, even flying 4 commercial aircraft into high profile buildings, killing many 100s, has not had the slightest influence on how America or the 'western world' live. al-Qaeda are insane. Dangerously deranged. Nothing they say or do stands up to any reasoned analysis.

If you want to understand how Muslins integrate into European society why don't you take a holiday there and find out for yourself instead of regurgitating all that Fascist propoganda?

I could save you the air fare and tell you what Muslin people are really like but I doubt very much if you would be able to accept the truth. It would shatter so many of your illusions.

Oh and to answer your question about the magic wand. Goerge Bush's nose would grow an inch every time he told a lie if any of them possesed a magic wand.

Having worked with Muslims in the UK, I will say that their behaviour and moral standards are netter than the native population almost without exception. I can't speak for the other countries ut I think that you are exaggerating and blaming Muslims for the actions of others. Perhaps you could blame them for the crime in the US too.

France, Germany and the UK never claimed to be for everyone, like America did. That's the purpose of America, land of the free, everyone can come here.
France should be for the French.
Germany for the German.
UK for the English.

well I would say in theory it's always easy, the new immigrants adapt to the people in their new country and the native people to the immigrant... so there is no problem... (on paper) but, in reality it unfortunately takes often generations of the immigrated family to not be considered *immigrant* any more.
I find that not very good and I always try to integrate my *foreign* classmates when they just arrive. when we try to understand them and we get to know their values, they will get interested in ours(in my experience)

These are FINE EXAMPLES of what happens when liberalism and political correctness take over basic common sense. Once upon a time you went to a foreign country and YOU adapted to THEIR way of life. Not any more! Now you can go anywhere in the world and complain that THEY aren't doing enough to cater to YOU! Especialluy if you're a Muslim!
