I had no problems with this company. I bought various mint state Sacagawea coins. The coins they have are of good quality and they have a comprehensive catalog of US coins. When passing through Littleton, NH last year, I stopped by for a tour. They have modern and well run facilities.

I find their prices to be some what high on a lot of items. They do offer a few mail order deals from time to time. I only live about 45 min. to an hour away and when need be, buy some supplies, if I can't wait for mail order from NY. I rarely buy coins from them, for I can get them cheaper elsewhere. They do not sell over graded coins or junk. I don't know where you live, but check out your local dealers. It won't take you much time to figure out if they are friend or foe. Small town dealers have to live there, so most are quite honest. It would not hurt to get a subscription to Coin World and Numismatic News and do some learning. Most numismatists will tell you to buy the book before the coin. Now a numismatist is a coin collector, but he also knows the history of the coins he collects, as well as studying them. There are numismatist, then there are coin collectors and I might as well throw in investors, who know even less. Take your time and start off slowly, don't mail order, go see the coins and learn to grade them. I learned more from the old timers at the local coin store in one Saturday afternoon, then if I had stayed home and read 20 books on coins. Look for a coin club in your area. If you have questions ask them here and I will try to answer them.

I actually just started with littleton. They seem legitimate to me and their prices are reasonable. They have this program where they send you coins in the mail that you are interested in that you can review for 15 days. If you don't want the coins you just send them back. There is no obligation to buy unless you want them. They also have a share program that gives you shares for everything you purchase. You can then trade the shares in for free stuff like coins, stamps, collectors equipment, and paper money.
