This is the only thing that will make Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton happy ... to wake up one morning and to discover they've become white folks. Then they could ignore all of the petty "problems" of their former homies. However, they'd soon discover that white folks (especially stupid ones) don't get publicity any ol' time they want it; they don't get away with frivolous lawsuits and slander; and when they have children with a woman other than their wives, that the people around them don't take any moralistic criticism they give very seriously. It'd be too late to realize they'd made a mistake, but they'd cry themselves to sleep every night, just wanting to return to being nappy-headed ho's again, so they can get back at "whitey". Of course, the problem is, is that they now be whitey ... mm-hmm, dat right.
Personally I don't think Don Imus owed anyone an apology for his comments, but he chose to do it out of some goofy, liberal, self-imposed white guilt trip. After all, it's a politicocomedy radio show, on which everyone is insulted. No one (with any sense) takes it seriously. On it, Don calls just about anyone and everyone a "bald-headed stooge", while his co-workers insult his "wrinkled face" and say they wished he was dead. It's a joke. Get it? Of course not! Humorless, scowling, butt-scratchers never get jokes.
In closing, just a little side note: the ungracious actions of the above mentioned men prove quite clearly that neither of these (so called) REVERENDS are really Christians. All Christians are required by their God to extend forgiveness to anyone who sincerely asks for it. Don Imus asked for forgiveness and both men have said (along with their mindless followers) that his actions were unforgivable.

I think everyone can be happy about that. Jesse Jackson is a fraud (MLK knew that), and Al Sharpton just made black people look stupid. Obama can at least be respected as someone of vision and intelligence, even if you don't agree with his political views...

BOO HOO!
i don't like imus, jesse or al...they are all racists.
anyone who can say such things deserves what they get regardless of their status, color and ethnicity.
as for the imus ranch closing...why would it close? imus has got all the publicity he needs now and will get another higher paying job to support his little ranch. it won't effect that at all.
besides that, why can't imus take some of that money that he earns and contribute some more of it to his ranch? don't think that he doesn't have money put back and don't think that he won't have another job...probably already does!

I don't know about you but I'm happy! Imus got what was coming to him and that's that. This is not the first time he's crossed the line, and he's not the only one. While in my Philology class we talked about race in America and how people really feel so I decided to conduct a little experiment. My experiment involves everyday people I come in contact with on line and their responses to life issues. I only have to record honestly and hide my true identity in order to get a true answer. I've been recording for 2 months and I'm overwhelmed. America is jaded ( on both sides) and is as racist as ever? Check out the answers to this foolish question.

You know people like them need to be taken down. They are the biggest hypocirtes that walk the face of the earth. Ok, Imus said what he said and apoligzed profusely and still gets **** canned. Maybe they did him a favor becuase now he could to Sirrus and say what ever he wants and does not have to apologize.

During the Great Depression the KKK used to help feed poor white families in Indiana until the truth about their racist activities and lynchings surfaced and they were stopped and their leader jailed.
Using your childish logic, if any of those families went hungry it was because of the people who complained about the KKK hunting black men for sport.
Imus wasn't fired because free speech was denied him, he was fired because we all have free speech. You can't use the First Amendment to give him the right to say what he pleases and then deny the rest of us our First Amendment right to say what we want in protest.
Ultimately, he was fired because over 100 advertisers backed out of supporting the show. If I was an African-American woman advertising with CBS and heard him make those comments, why should I be pressured to ignore it and continue doing business with him?
Grow up, skippy, free speech doesn't mean you are completely free from consequences, it simply means the government can't throw you in jail for speaking your mind.

they are nappy haired terrorists. they don't use guns, they use the media and their mobile mob army of professional protesters (subsadized by taxpayer government assistance). Corporate and mainstream america is frightened stiff of them, and appease them over and over.
KKK and Sharpton/Jackson are same. Except Sharpton/Jackson always get their way, for whatever twisted reason. What a country!

Of course, they're happy. This is the kind of destruction of American culture they live for. But their happiness is not complete. The Duke lacrosse players they excoriated with their unbridled and fiery tongues were freed. If there was true justice, the two "reverends" would be held accountable for their libels, slanders, and smears -- but they won't.

No they will not be happy until they find Jesus and make Him Lord of the Lives, then and only then can you truly call them, Reverends. Until then all you can call them are "Trouble Makers"

Nope, nothing in this world except total annihilation of all other race's would make them happy. I know, truth hurts sometimes.
