And if so, can you blame him?

I believe Bush will declare victory in Iraq prior to ending his term in office. I believe he will do this to avoid any criticism from from the Dems(front runners) about failing in Iraq. He's done it already in this war. It will be a pre-emptive move on his part. Anyone who criticizes him, he can just say, "No, we declared victory, we won. There was no failure. It's the Dems fault right now for all the problems. Everything was fine when I left. Why do think I declared victory?".

I can't wait until Bush is gone. I will be having a huge party that night.....no joke.

I see the Bush lemmings are still living in their imaginary world like their Sociopathlic Lying Piece of Garbage of a President by the name of George Walker Bush. It is hard to believe that some people are like sheep and follow their sheep herder Wacky Bush. He loves the 27% that are die hards that still support him because there is still some to believe his dilusional lies like his wife Laura and his master Barney the Dog who is definitely smarter thasn Dumb Dumb Bush.

Unlike most of the answers he doesn't want to give this one up because he knows that the liberals will do everything they can to pull us out and destroy everything. Then, they will blame it all on him when he is the one who kept us safe for all these years. He wants to see it succeed and that will never happen if a liberal gets in God forbid! He isn't like the libs to cut and run, he stays his stand like a real man!

I think so and that's why he pursues the conflict so avidly. I believe him to be an egomaniac and he feeds off this power trip. I don't believe he's acting alone but is being "sponsored" by many self interest groups and organizations. I believe our solution may lie in a third party for both of the present major parties are corrupt. He may "feel the heat" and I personally would like to see him return to Texas, retire from politics, and not bother us again.

President Bush's character would never allow him to "cut and run" from anything he believes in!

He would, if he was the kind of person who ran from a challenge.

The problem is, he truly believes he is making the correct decisions. So, he doesn't want to give up that responsibility -- and certainly doesn't want to give up the power and control -- just because things are going badly.

He's gonna break a land speed record for how fast he runs & hides from the Iraq war. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes into exile.

He is probably scared a liberal will get elected and leave Iraq, resulting in wholesale slaughter of innocent Iraqis. Followed by the nation being hacked apart for its oil.

More than anything but he has himself painted into such a corner he can do nothing but stay the course. His whole legacy in his mind depends of the outcome of Iraq. Most people already know what his legacy is going to be.
