Convicts are very good parent who will raise the fry so leave them together for now.If there are other fish in the tank you may need to move them to prevent other fish from harming the fry. There should be no problem getting them to breed again, your problem may become what to do with all the young.

Do the two convicts have vivid orange patches on their factors? the main straight forward clarification for convict eggs not hatching is that the two fish interior the pair are women human beings. take a check out the egg clutches interior the photos on the two hyperlinks sourced under. If yours have approximately two times as many eggs, it is good circumstantial information which you have 2 women human beings. in case you have a woman and male regardless of each and everything, it may be that the male is youthful. each and every so often a youthful male is able to dealing with each and all of the motions, yet his milt isn't stepped forward adequate yet to fertilize the eggs. Well, they pair for life so getting them to mate shouldn't be hard. And they would be the two protecting the fry. I wouldn't advise moving them at this time.

Yes, but i would rather you move the parents THAT IS UNLESS the tank your moving the babies in is already cycled, because if the tank isnt cycled and perfectly toned your babies might die. Move your babies to a 10 gallon tank with a filter, heater, lights, and bubbler. Make sure its cycled and dechlorinated. If its not cycled buy stresszyme and put a hole lot of it in

You can tell the father because he will be trying to eat the hatchlings. The mother is the harried one who will end up dead trying to protect her young.
