Well since the West has been pretty dominant this last decade (except from a couple of teams from the East). How many does each confrence have?

Excluding the 1950 title, when there were 3 divisions, the East has won 34 titles and the West 25 titles.

East - 34 titles
West - 25 titles
and in 1950, Minneapolis won when they were put in the Central (there were 3 divisions [today's conference] then)
