Go to a public place, such as Starbucks, and talk as if there is no romantic connection. Like asking her what type of guy she likes and perhaps you could say that you would let her know if you think of someone that fits her description. Best of luck.

be like "insert name here i don't wanna be friends anymore cause of the way u r acting or whatever th reason is"
they might be like "i am sorry i didn't know it was bugging u so bad please forgive me'
then u could be nice and say "ok"
