Yeah fighting and hitting are a major part of hockey, hitting from behind and intent to injure are not. They've played 2 games in the playoffs, and they've thrown a knee to knee, and a hit from behind, thats not hockey.

I am not a Preds fan, but I have to agree they are getting a bad rap here. I dont think the knee thing was intentional, in fact, i think he had his eyes closed. When you see it in slow motion it sure paints a different picture. As for the hit from behind ... we have all seen allot worse then that and very few are screaming. I think there is allot of whining and bashing of the Preds because people are afraid of what they can do. They have goaltending, they can score and they don't back down ... last year they learned their lesson and went out ... got what they needed and now people are taking notice.
The Preds are only the underdogs because no one gets to see them throughout the year ... not many of their games are televised nationally. Now we are all watching them, thinking ... hey these guys are pretty good.

Don't let the weenies get you down. I'm a fan of the most intimidating hockey team of all time, the Flyers and their Broad Street Bullies. Man how I long for those days and they won 2 Cups playing that way and they made the so-called elite Russian team leave the ice. Best moment in hockey history.
