My wife's due date is in about a week and we're expecting a baby girl. We're stuck between the names Elena Rochelle and Jaclyn Gabrielle. We aren't really crazy about either first name, but love the nicknames Elle and Jackie/Jac, which is what we'll end up calling her. We feel though that our daughter should have a full first name rather than just a nickname as one. My wife also has a 4 year old daugher named Andie (Andrea) from a pervous relationship.

My wife's exact answer as to why we can't just name her Jackie/Elle is because "When she gets in trouble, i want a full name to say!"....

I love the name Jackie. It's common, yet not. I know a lot of older teenage girls named Jackie who have babysat my boys and in the high school i use to teach at, but it's not common anymore. The name Jackie reminds me of someone who is very outgoing, entertaining and has a loving personality. Ellena is pretty, but Elle just seems very plain to me.
would go with Jaclyn Gabrielle. Andie & Jackie...sound like the best of friends.

Elena is beautiful. It sounds strong, Elena McBride, like a future CEO or something. Imagine people running after her asking questions like she's a goddess in business, "Ms. McBride, Ms. McBride" and on top of it has a beautiful fun girly nickname, Elle.
It's the best hands down.
Jaclyn is getting over-used. And it doesn't have that ease of tounge to say like Elena or Elle.

What about Ella Rochelle? Or Jacklyn Gabrielle? They are both not far from your first choices. In fact, Jacklyn is pronounced the same way as Jaclyn. I just prefer the spelling, Jacklyn over Jaclyn. But, my favorite is Ella Rochelle. If you don't like Ella, I also like Elena but Ella would be my first choice. Good Luck!

I don't like Rochelle. I love the name Elena and I like Gabrielle. I also like Jaclyn. Why not name her Elena Gabrielle. I really like that name.
