Easy.... but what you don't say is your tire size, gear ratio tranny type...... it all makes a difference. if it didn't, put a sbc or a 289 Ford in it and see what happens. Actually, for most street applications, a small block with proper gears is enough, but if you are actually going to compete with it, I wouldn't settle for anything less than a 540 Chevy or a 514 Ford. Being as you asked, I take it you don't have a lot of mechanical experience or are young and funds are a big concern, so unless you have a 6 cyl. just beef up what you have, figure your rpm range, tire size etc and you should just be fine. Getting in over your head the first couple times when building vehicles can get a little depressing, so stick to what you know and the rest will follow.

around an area? The truck might have not have been given any danger while in comparison with a common sized motor vehicle. you may evaluate the turns. the automobile is obviouslly going to be waiting to whip appropriate around a music while your monster truck could be having a much extra solid time, additionally a sprint pointer a monster truck might could have rear stear to also have a danger yet nonetheless wouldnt be almost as speedy because of the fact the automobile. a great extra obvious factor is the load of the two autos. perchance you may ask your self what might win between a 2,000 pound automobile with a 500 hp engine and a 12,000 pound automobile with a 500 hp engine? of course the lighter motor vehicle would be plenty swifter.

I would use a Power Stroke Turbodiesel. They produce massive torque, so you would be able to drive it just about anywhere, and haul just about anything.
BTW, my 1985 Nissan pickup weighs 4200 pounds, and it does great with a 4 cylinder. I assume that you are talking about a truck that weighs over 6,000 pounds.
