Most hamsters as well as most small pet animals need handling and feeding.
Try not feeding the hamster for "only ONE day" and then have our daughter hand feed it.
The hamster will allow hand feeding and adapt to your daughter.
Thanks, RR

I had this same problem when I first got my hamster!
What I did was wear some gloves. You know, those little cheap winter ones you get at the Dollar Stores. Then go and GENTLY pick up your hamster. This way,t eh hamster won't be ovecome by the overwhelming scent of humans. They will only be smelling a bit at a time.
She should do this about 5 times a day. Also, she should play with the hamster till they become best of friends!
I wish you luck! I know how hard it is to get a new hamster used to you, but it'll all work out!

All animals who're scared to be held will do worry aggression in types of biting and squirming. Best approach yo make then unafraid is constructive examples to be held. Hamster like many animals are inspired via meals. take a look at each handiest feeding them whilst held and now not tightly. Eventually after they see they wont be harm, dropped and yummie treats come whilst they're held they are going to come to experience it. Do now not feed within cage handiest via hand to reap outcome.

If it is a Dwarf Siberian, GOOD LUCK. We called ours Sushi because she ate our fingers every time we picked her up.
If it is not a Dwarf Siberian, calmly hold it in your hands and talk quietly to it. You need to hold a hamster daily to get it to trust you. My kids used to build tunnels for the hamsters to run through and mazes as well. Our current hamster is a Fancy Hamster who just likes to "chill" when you hold him because we held him every day when he was little.

well from my experience hamsters are mean, and they aren't really my "forte", but just talk softly around it, and no loud noises, and let it get used to you, and let the hamster come to you. don't chase it around the cage!! lol, also it may just be a time thing, because he's in a new environment, so give him time to adjust.
best of luck!!
