I don't know how well it works, but try some peroxide. Warm it just a little so it won't be cold. Put your head on the side and put a few drops in. Let is sit for a minute and then raise up and let it drain out. It will foam and such, and hopefully clean any infection.

If it's really bad you have to go to the doctor to get antibiotics.
Most likely it's an ear infection but you could try warming a cloth and pressing it to the ear that hurts. If this doesn't comfort the pain and your ear doesn't improve you should definetly see a doctor or it'll hurt more.

Hi Mimi

Here are some ideas to use to heal the condition.

Treat Both Ears: The simple, old-fashioned aids are sometimes very fast in giving relief. Always treat both ears, even if only one aches.

1.Garlic: When my little girl had an earache I put a piece of fresh garlic in her ear and it was better by morning. The previous alternative was to go to the doctor and pay a lot of money for penicillin.

2. Onion: Lightly bake a large onion, cut it in half and while warm (not hot enough to irritate the area), bind one half of the onion over each ear. Bandage in place and hold bandage on with a nightcap, white skullcap, etc., and leave on all night.

3.Camomile: Use a fomentation over both ears of three parts of camomile and one part of lobelia. Take two ounces orally (a wineglass full) each two waking hours. Leave the fomentation on the ears all night. (Cover fomentation with plastic or oiled silk, etc.).

4. Mullein: Use three to six drops of mullein oil in both ears several times each day. Insert it upon retiring for the night, and, as before, plug the ears with cotton. Place a fomentation over the ears all night of three parts mullein and one part lobelia.

Best of health to you

In the mean time, try sweet oil and an ear irrigation kit from the drug store.

In the long term, look into investing in a neti pot. They sell them on Amazon and have many resources for you to research the product.

Do you have any olive oil in the domicile? if so, heat some drops in a spoon over the flame or burner of your range, dip a cotton ball into it and placed the oil into your ear. Listerine works properly too. in simple terms placed some drops into your ear. in case you dont have the two of those issues, circulate with the warmth washcloth or heating pad.
