I wonder about that myself. I never hurt anyone and what have I gotten back from people but lack of respect for me as a human being and cruelty. I've been told that God gives us challenges so that we will learn to reach out to Him, or that challenges make us stronger and gives us the experience to help put others who are going through the same thing.

I go to a Christian school and I am a strong Christian, in Bible class we were givin three questions to answer, and this was one of the questions I got. I still have the Word document, and here is the answer:

Question: If God is a God of love, why does he let evil thing happen?

Answer: Evil was not created by God, but rather by Satan and the selfishness of men and the evil hearts of men. Ever since Adam and Eve committed the first sin there has been evil in the world ever since. Just like if the mother is addicted to drugs, so will the child, and so if the mother sins, so will the child, and it will only get worse. So it is our fault that evil things happen. We also live in a fallen world, so some of the bad things that happen are not intended by God. He can use bad events to give us an answer or to work greater things in our lives too. Evil things also happen as a punishment for our sin, and since everyone sins, then we will all experience bad events. Some people blame God of being an evil god or a weak one, neither of these is true, though. God sent his only son, Christ, to save us from evil and sin. Although evil things still happen, there is a way out now, and it is only through Jesus. We must accept that Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross to deliver us from sin, and that He is our Savior. God will wash away the evil of the world when Christ returns. No one knows when this will be, but we can only wait and remain faithful to God. It may not happen during even our century, or it may happen tomorrow, once again, no one knows. God is omnipotent (all-powerful), and he can control everything. He is also a loving God. He will never forsake you no matter what you do. He has amazing and unconditional love over everyone, because He is our Father, and perfect fathers don’t forsake or stop loving their children. God is not the only supernatural being that controls the world either, Satan also has control over the world, he hates people because God loved men more than angels (and Satan was the angel Lucifur), so that is also a reason why.

Yes, there is and will always be a God. Some of the things God did not give us knowledge or understanding of and no one may ever know why. But, think about everyone being soldiers of God and that each and everyone will be assign to a post. For example, a castle. Now the people who guard any thing must be fit and qualify to do their job right? OK. Now through your sensitivity and suffering, (which even though happened to others you absorbed it to yourself good, because it shows you care about them) you are being tested and being prepared for your own worthiness as soldier of God who will be given a task. You can not do the task or guard the castle if you like, without the proper training for it. It probably sounds more like the situation 'being cruel to be kind' if I may? At times even when you get over one hurdle then another is thrown at you but remember you never are alone. He will always be there to console, guide and lift you up should you stumble and fall. Just keep praying and talk to Him like you would a friend. May He make your trials and tests light and indeed others too. Good night.

Well i tussled with this question for quite sometime , but idid ethics and philosophy of religion two years ago , and i think it comes down to free will . If you think about it all the bad things that hapen in life are promoted by people not God .
Even an Earthquake , people could be saved by building eartquake proff buildings but greed makes people short cut it happend with the Turkey eartquake , but i have nothing against the Turks it happpens where all eartquakes take place . Ok you say what about disease . Weel The body is designed to resist illness it is through bad diet hygiene and exposing ourselves to self distructive thoughts that promote disesesed . A sick child has to build up its resistance to disesese . A malformed child , Heritetarty taint somewhere along the line
Please continue to question your question , you may reason as I have IF you do not take an emotional angle FATAL for good Philosophical thought dont you think?

Yes, I do believe there is a God and the reason that bad things happen to nice people is because God has given us, as individuals, the luxury of choice. Therefore, someone can choose to do something to you that would harm or hurt you. Some people do seem to experience more than their fair share of bad things happening to them. It is important to overcome these events in the best way possible and by learning to deal with bad situations, you become a stronger person. It becomes a very difficult learning curve but life was never meant to be easy and it's just a case of living your life to the full and overcoming any obstacles the best way you can! Best of luck!

Good and bad are relative terms. There are no good or bad events. Relative passing away happens to all the people. Events happen due to circumstances and our actions. Some times all bad thing may happen all at once. There may be possibility of not happing these bad things after some time. Some times bad things happen in short time and take a gap. Whenever you have a bad thing happen you get a feeling of why me? Whenever good thing happen, you never ask why not to others? Go to any hospital to see the melancholy

The Bible says: “some distance be it from the actual God to act wickedly, and the Almighty to act unjustly!”—interest 34:10. do you recognize why human beings make the blunders of blaming God for all the suffering interior the worldwide? in many circumstances, they blame Almighty God by way of fact they think of that he's the actual ruler of this worldwide. they do no longer understand an hassle-free yet important reality that the Bible teaches. You found out that reality in financial ruin 3 of this e book. the actual ruler of this worldwide is devil the devil. The Bible for sure states: “the full worldwide is mendacity interior the skill of the depraved one.” (a million John 5:19) once you think of roughly it, does that no longer make experience? This worldwide reflects the character of the invisible spirit creature who's “deceptive the finished inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9) devil is hateful, deceptive, and vicious. So the worldwide, under his impact, is packed with hatred, deceit, and cruelty. this is one reason there is a lot suffering. A 2nd reason there is a lot suffering is that, mankind has been imperfect and sinful ever by way of fact the insurrection interior the backyard of Eden. Sinful people tend to conflict for dominance, and this leads to wars, oppression, and suffering. (Ecclesiastes 4:a million; 8:9) a third clarification for suffering is “time and unexpected prevalence.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11) In a worldwide with out Jehovah as a conserving Ruler, human beings might go through by way of fact they ensue to be interior the incorrect place on the incorrect time. You could also ask the question...

Why do good things happen to bad people?

Good and bad things know not good nor bad people. It has no preference. It simply happens across the spectrum.

God gave each of us a freewill...the ability to make our own decisions...good or bad. Adam and Eve made a bad decision that affected everyone in their genealogy. In other words...all of us! That sin nature has (and will be) carried on through all of our ancestors, us and our children. Those sins have created things like illnesses which may make us sick...even though we may generally be considered good.

It is also important to note that we are not sinners because we sin. We all sin because we are all sinners. We are all bad people. Perhaps different levels of bad, but all bad none the less.

God gave us free will to choose what we do with it. I know what you mean about all the bad things. Maybe you have karma to work out from past lives. Maybe you have lessons to learn from these things. I try to learn when bad things happen, try to figure out the reason behind why I have to go through them. Prayer helps alot. And I've found that a lot of time, things seem to happen in threes. Not sure why, but it seems it happens to me like that. Also, I've found that the more I have to go through, the stronger person I become. Maybe that's what your lesson is? Sorry to hear about so much in your life that is happening bad, but just remember that you aren't alone.

Bad things happen to nice people to remind us how imperfect this world is, if you never cared so much you would not be effected by any of those issues you raise. I care about every f***er, that why i lock myself away and only pop my head out when its safe. I try not to become too attached as that leads to emotional discomfort and bias. every one of us suffer sweetheart. Most people only care about those close, i care about everyone, that's worse! Believe, if i never hid away like i do, i would have a very serious mental problem, so to protect myself from issues i have no control, i withdraw from the event until i do have some control, Never though, do i forget that others are suffering too.
