Well, looks like the people above are little help, so a 1999 $10 star note has a book value of $45 if printed in DC and $30 if printed in Forth Worth. I believe it has an FW on it. These are retail prices so expect to get at least 40% or more, less for it. Notes with a star are a replacement note and are much rarer than regular issued notes. I put this for the person who said the star does not mean it has value, well it does.

It is worth $10 the star means that the serial number is from a retired $10 bill, they just reused it.

Just because it has a star doesn't necessary mean it is worth, right now, more than $10.

Depends on how old and the condition. If it is a recent one, it would only be worth face value.
