Silly question. If you pay for half, take half. I haven't figured this out completely, but I assume you took 2 of something and paid for one.
You know it is wrong or you wouldn't be online asking for forgiveness. \
For the heck of it. Go back to the store and tell them you made a mistake and forgot to pay for whatever it was, and go ahead and pay them for it. They may say forget about it, and then again they may say ok and take your money. Either way you will get a thank you and a smile. If your human, you will get a warm feeling in your heart. And when the judge sentences you to 2 years and you only have to serve one year you will be glad you paid for half.
