It's normal that one person choose as favorite a brother, a cousin, an uncle, or some other relatives. But, what about your parents. Do you have preference for your mother or your father? Or the love is the same?

I really felt something extra for one of my 3 uncles....he was in the Navy. But after we moved from Michigan...
Since my father used to disappear a lot, then they divorced and all I've heard about my father makes me ill....and I spent my life with my mother, I was much closer to her. It's to the point I really don't care to know when my father dies. He only tried to get in touch with me once in the past 20 years (I'm 60) and that was to hit me up for $300. I said NO.
Now, my Step-dad was more of a father to me than that old fool in Michigan could ever hope to be. I enjoyed going home and just sitting on the back porch or kitchen sipping coffee and chewing the fat with 'dad'. Now, he and mom are gone, and I don't go to Delaware anymore. My sisters and brothers live there, but I'm more of a stranger since I left home in '65 for the Navy. I feel funny on Sunday evenings not having called mom and dad on the phone.
One thing I missed was getting to know my Finnish grandparents on my father's side. I was with my mother's parents more. I know as a young kid...4 and 5 years old...I really enjoyed spending time with Mu Mu...and speaking Finn with her.
Of my 5 brothers and sisters, I feel closest to my oldest sister. My youngest sister was 2 1/2 when I left home and I really never got to know her. I do miss not seeing them all grow up.

My mother because my father is a ******* dead beat.

Also, I think its common for a child to choose a favorite parent because a lot of parents have a favorite child( dont tell anyone though). Some people will claim they dont but some parents do subconsiosly treat one kid better than another one.

you're patently very unhappy and dissatisfied about this problem. i imagine your perfect option is to leave residing house no matter when you're or aren't from now on truly being molested, and that i will't tell if you're fantasising or no matter if there is real reason for problem the following. you ought to get a lot extra assertive and if all of us tries to the contact you, determine or all of us else, tell them to get the heck off of you (in no uncertain words). keep bodily away and do not let him capture you in some thing except finished outfits. in case your siblings are being inappropriately touched you ought to tell social facilities or a police newborn secure practices officer. Now you're 18 you're acknowledged as an individual and also you ought to take duty for ensuring their safe practices as well as your own. yet make positive of your info because once you contain authorities, issues will flow very genuinely and very quick and also you isn't waiting to undo it.

Mother. She was closer to me growing up. My dad doesn't communicate as much. He supports me financially (im in college). I actually get in more arguments with and get mad at my mom a lot more than my dad, though. I love them both, and can talk to both of them, but I'm definitely closer to my mom.

My mother... but it's not a fair comparison, since my father was abusive and Mom was my comfort. She protected us from him by divorcing him, when I asked her to when I was 10.
