There are many ways to ask, but please, NOT verbally, but by loving actions. Perhaps if you look upon it as love, rather than sex, with a soft kiss on her neck, she may respond.

Well, if the house is a mess, she's hungry, tired, emotionally upset, the best thing is to NOT ask and NOT make a move other than maybe a peck on the cheek and offer to rub her back while she talks/vents. It's about romance, not a vending machine. If you communicate to her that you see her as an amazing human being, and you deeply care about whatever she's going through, and you find her astoundingly beautiful, (instead of just "the wife" who's basically a depository for your lust...) then she'll want to please you.

Don't ask, just demand. Take control of your wife man, talk dirty to her or something. You should know what she likes. Give it to her!! Tell her to get some grub cookin afterwards. I try and talk Southern style and be like "Ho wiontch you cook up some grill while your up!!! She'll here ya with the right tone in your voice. Have fun. You haveta use your voice. Don't be a wimp.

Sit down and talk to her and find out what the problem is,there has to be something wrong if you have to ask her.You should be able to get her in the mood,I mean she is your wife so you should know how to do this.

Okay, what a woman wants in almost every case is wooing...slowly and carefully...don't rush her. Now and then, a dinner out, followed with a glass of wine by candlelight in the bedroom .... long, slow kisses... gentle, tender touches here and there....

hmm... start with the easy stuff.. foreplay... lots of it to put her in the mood.
And some times foreplay is about cleaning up the kitchen, tidying up after yourself and not really about the sex. Is it about the sex or is it something else in your relationship? Think about that one for a bit.

Just ask her. Or, just start touching and kissing her and let it lead into sex. I don't think my husband has ever asked me. It just happens.
