Nearly every law school student is on their own. Parental support at the grad school level is really minimal to none for nearly all students.

The other suggestions are good, and also keep in mind that there is a broad range of law schools from expensive to affordable. Once you graduate, the additional income you will generate will more than compensate whatever sacrifices you have to make to fulfill your dream.
You say you don't know if she will support you. Approach it like a real lawyer. Do your research, lay out all the options and the advantages of going to law school, then convince her with logic and persuade her with eloquence. She will be your first real "jury".
Some other answerers have assumed you mean you want her to pay for everything. I assume you mean you want her moral support, while you work and hunt for financial aid. Another factor is that if you continue to live at home through law school, you will save a ton of money in housing costs.
Good luck. I know you can do it.

Apply for grants and loans. Also apply for any other financial aid for which you qualify.
Even if you end up financing all of law school with student loans, the loan payback doesn't start until six months after you leave school. That gives you plenty of time to pass the Bar Exam and get a job. Even entry-level attorneys make good money, so you shouldn't have any trouble paying back your loans.
Good luck!

I made it through law school with very little in loans or help and only some part time work. I went to UC. So I suggest you plan carefully, save your money, work part time, and get good grades so you can get into a WAY cheaper "public" school! It's not cheap but it is a LOT cheaper.
By the way, no offense, but why should your mom pay for anything?
One of the great joys of adulthood is when you first make it on your own!
Namaste.

Check for sholarships, student loans, etc. Also look for a good part time job to help out. Most colleges will have jobs to help with financial aid. Law school IS expensive and you should be prepared for that. If you want to be a lawyer badly enough, go for it. With hard work and determination you can do anything you set your mind to.
Good luck

you don't need her support if you can get into even a half decent school.
none of my law student friends have support from their parents
it IS too expensive for the parents to cover it, most law students leave law school with over 180-220k in debt.
my brother will have 250k in debt.
that's just how it goes.
you take out loans.
you complete your degree
you pay off the loans

Try to get a scholarship. Or look into financal aid. I'm in the same boat as you. Maybe a part time job? I'm not sure here is a online scholarship site.
