If there wasnt an Andre the Giant back then in the day do you think wrestling fans would be more in awe over the big show and the great khali, boosting both to legendary status??

if you really think about it Andre the Giant really didnt have that many skills... no nunchaku skills, or bow hunting skills.. no im just joking about that part.. but what did he do besides be big.. the "Giants" of today have way more athletic experience then he did... dont take this as Andre hating.. R.I.P. Andre

Even if Andre hadn't come along, there's still reason to be in awe at Big Show and Khali today.. I don't think they would be legendary though, neither are extraordinary wrestlers like Andre. And you're right, Andre didn't have much ability, but he did dominate more back then than today's Khali and Big Show. I never liked him much though.

People would still be in awe of Khali and Bigshow even if Andre had never existed. And if you've ever watched the biography that A&E did on Andre a couple of years ago, it showed still pictures (not film footage) of a young Andre the Giant doing a high flying move off the top rope. My feeling is that maybe he was much more agile when he was younger but that he had to slow down and take it easy as he got older because the health problem that caused him to get so huge in the first place was causing him a great deal of pain in his later years.

Andre was a great big man, I don't know what you're talking about. He's probably the fourth best big man to step into the business next to Paul Wight, Mike Awesome, and Bam Bam Bigelow. It's astonishing enough that the man could do half of the things he did do with his size without hurting his opponent.

I don't think Andre killed the awe of the big man, if anything he invented it. Men like ,Giant Gonzales Earthquake, 911 and today's Great Khali took the mystique and unfamiliarity out of seeing a big man, not to mention that none of the men listed from Gonzales to Khali were that great of ring workers. Andre didn't kill the big man, Vince McMahon killed the big man. He went to that well too many times in the 80's and now it's dry.

I think Andre The Giant would have been more agile if it were not for all the pain in later years! Yes Big Show is very agile and can wrestle but Khali is a waste of time!

I agree that Big Show is more athletic than Andre but Khali isn't. Show can wrestle when they actually let him he can be impressive.

p.s. Thanks for asking a real wrestling question
