I'm really bored in the summer and want to drive w/ friends and do something cool!

Well, a decent park right near St. Louis is Six Flags in Eureka.
If you don't mind driving a little ways, Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL (north of Chicago)'s very good.
If you don't want to drive that far, you can go to Branson. Silver Dollar City and Celebration City are there and they're both very fun parks, with Silver Dollar being the classic traditional park with some great coasters as well.
If you head east, there's two great parks. Holiday World in Santa Claus, IND which has some world class coasters and Six Flags in Louisville, KY.
If you head west, you can go to worlds of Wait, I mean Worlds of Fun in Kansas City which has a few good coasters as well!

Six Flags St. Louis is a GREAT amusement park! I worked there from 1984 - 1993 (both part time seasonally and full time while going to college). Though the pay was minimal, it was a blast to work at.
Enough about me and giving away my age - YIKES! - if you intend to return on several occasions to the park, you and your friends may each want to think about purchasing a season pass. Depending on the cost of the season pass and how many times you think you may return there, it may save you quite a bit of money.
