I'm pretty sure that Johnson & Wales has several different campuses around the country, so a kid from one campus may have no idea what's happening at the other campuses.
Also, they are pretty famous for their culinary arts, but their other programs might not be as good.
You need to check the stats about the kids at that school and see if they compare well with your GPA and SAT. THat will tell you whether you will be bored, fit in well, or be overwhelmed.

i have had the pleasure of meeting many students from the Johnson & Wales cooking programs here in NV. they come from a reputable school with very good educators.
