Because you are always sticking them out there for people to see. Shut up, turn off your computer, and no one will pick on poor little you...

As long as you don't try to force your beliefs on me or my family. That is the belief of the conservatives, to change the moral values of the country to coincide with ONLY their beliefs. That's where the problem starts. Personally, I think we as a society should stop respecting religious belief. We should start questioning it. Where else in our lives do we respect peoples beliefs? We don't. We ask for reasons and evidence as to why people believe what they believe. But when it comes to religion, it's a conversation stopper. You have to respect their beliefs and not care about facts. That's fine by me until they start asking our schools to ignore evolution, which is supported by thousands of scientific studies and FACTS, and just teach creationism, which is supported by ZERO facts or evidence, just what the Christians like to believe. Or when they ask us the govt. to cut funding for stem cell research, easily the most promising line of research for medical therapy, based solely on their religion. This is where I have my biggest problem and I will pick on someone if they're trying to force these views on me. Whether it be through conversation or campaigning for new laws to reflect ONLY their views.
FYI, this is my view on all religions, not just Christianity. I believe it's time to stopping being PC and start questioning people for their beliefs. Fair enough?

I find it incredibly strange that you should correlate your religious persuasion with your political persuasion. In fact I find it quite interesting on a number of levels.
Can I assume from this that you are a strong supporter of George Bush? I get the impression that you strongly support Bush as opposed to moderately, I would greatly appreciate if you could put me straight on that one.
I assure you I am not being facetious and I will in no way attempt to judge or pass comment on your beliefs I am just trying to understand what is happening here and need you to just confirm or reject my sopposition.
By the way in answer to your question. I don't think anyone is personally picking on your beliefs. I think the problem is that because George Bush proclaims to be a Christian Conservative anyone else who describes themselves as the same is perceived to be a lunatic as well. It is a form of prejudice so you are best advised to just ignore it.

Usually I do it because so many "christian conservative" people are hypocrites. i.e. Alcoholics, liars, child abusers, cheaters & other law breakers, including speeding drivers that fly by me with their little fish stuck to the back of their car.
You may not be a hypocrite but too many of your people are. If you choose to associate yourself with the "christian conservative" people, you will endure the wrath.

It's nothing personal. It's a side effect of what others often do.
The problem is that many other Christians attempt to impose their (and your) beliefs on non-Christians. So, the people who keep getting Chrisitian dogma rammed down their throats object and take it out on all the Christians, even the ones who are just trying to live their own lives.

I'd pick on you for your handle of the English syntax - yours is atrocious. As for why people pick on you... I can't speak about "people" - I'd have to see how it is that they pick on you, but my guess would be because Christians tend to be very aggressive toward anyone who thinks differently and, particularly when no one asks their opinion, try to force it upon others. Now, of course not everyone is like that, but the loud ones are so loud that they leave a lasting trauma... and you get the reaction to them.

Nobody cares whether people pick on the beliefs of Christian Conservatives.
Only when government action contravenes freedom of religion do we care.
And that seems to be the primary function of the ACLU.

When people pick on you for your Christian values, point out that EVERYTHING that MLK did was based on Jesus and the Bible.
Oh, and what MLK was proposing was a "strict construction" of the Constitution. So let them chew on THAT for a bit.
Just some things that LIBS never think about when they attack Chrisitianity.
