a few hours before the planes hit.

I actually thought it would be a normal typical schoolday.

We were on vacation. We woke up and my then 3 year old wanted to watch TV, we turned it on and we must have watched NBC Monday night. The Today Show had just gone to it's live feed of the World Trade Tower on fire. We watched the second plane hit and watched until the towers fell. We went to NYC in November 2002 it was very sad to be there. There were first responders who would just go and walk around trying to process everything that happened that day.

yes, I did. I was enjoying the beautiful morning with my toddler...tickling him on the bed, making him giggle and laugh. When I heard the phone ring, my husband asked me if I was watching tv. I said no, there's nothing ever on. (still isn't) He said "Turn on the tv" to which I replied "What channel" and he said "Doesn't matter, turn on the tv" So I did, and asked, ok, it's on Nickelodeon. He said "no, network channel" I wasn't sure what I was seeing...and I really don't remember the rest of the conversation as I was stunned watching. He told me is alright and that he wasn't comming home today, because airlines are all grounded. I just sat sobbing on the bed worried that the end of the world was happening. He stayed in Boston for the next two weeks. It was a hard time.

I remember just sitting down on the couch with my first cup of coffee. I turned on the TV and saw the WTC and some smoke. At first, I thought it was a documentary on the first bombing (We watch the History Channel a lot and i wasn't paying a lot of attention). Then, as I was staring at the screen, I saw the second plane hit and heard the announcer's expletive (never heard again) and realized it was all real.

Hell ya...was on the transit bus heading to my high school school [Grade 11] hearing "talk" of some plane hitting NY subway

that morning I left school late since I had no class period [spare], so didn't check the news regularly after 8:30 - 9 AM

Only after 10 in class...we had the TV monitors up and running seeing the news/CBC/CNN...unbelievable

Yes, I did. My spouse was ill that day, and so I drove myself to work (we usually carpooled). I still remember hearing of a plane crashing into the WTC tower--at the time, they thought it was a small plane and an accident. I heard bits and pieces while at work--interestingly enough, no clients wished to change appointments, and all our workers had to go do their regular service jobs.

To this day, I don't know what made me turn on the news. I usually didn't before work, but that day I did. And the towers were already down. By the end of the day I knew that I would lose my job because of this incident, and I'm just recovering now.

But when I got up, just another day.

I was staying at my parent's home at the time preparing my trip to Japan. I was woken up by mom after the first plane hit and I watched while the second plane hit shortly after.

Needless to say my trip was postpone until 3 months later.

Actually yes I did. I was in 3rd grade with my cupcakes for my b-day and my teacher left the room for a min. and told me to just hang a min and I heard it on the radio and I was like WOW my b-day is ruined. there were only 8 kids in my class that day it sucked and my b-day will never be the same again.

Well seeing as I was in 4th grade , ya i thought it would be normal but I mean what else could we think???No one ever wants to think that anything as horrible as that could happen to us. Let's just pray that we get them before they get us again.
