If it helps I have been violated over 4 times (which probably is no surprise to you). I have seen the same thing as well, And I feel bad for all that have to struggle back to where they once were. Some how they are in violation of Community Guidelines and therefore deleted.

Again Chris it's hard to understand !
I have had 7 violations in the past month ! I have had some
questions deleted too !
I freak everytime I get a violation, because I don't ask vulgar questions, yet other people can and do, can have vulgar
avatars and get away with it ! I also keep wondering, what exactly have these people done to get their account deleted !
I hope a few people that have had their accounts deleted answer this question to enlighten the rest of us.
Hugs,
Fran

I agree with hurricane and dee j. I've had a violation but I suppose it was warranted. I took a chance to thank a bunch of people for their support and got a violation. You can read community guide lines and much of it is clear cut, but some of it vague too. I guess the final verdict is up to the folks at YA.

Yahoo has a user guideline, in their rules of conduct, and they reserve the right to have one.Can you imagine this place without having a user guideline ??
Its only fair, if you want to participate on Y Answers, just follow the guidelines.
I don't see why its such a problem for others, who want to abuse the user guidelines and say its "freedom of speech "?? Maybe it would be best to stay on My Space instead.

Apparently if you are reported a bunch, they will deactivate your account.
