For 150 years California has had the debate of splitting into two, until the real far north let it be known they didn't want to be with the central part of the state, that is San Francisco.

First, Oregon and Washington hate California. They might want to, but the reality of economy is that they could never exist on their own. They NEED California even while they can't stand it.

California is the 5th or 6th largest economy in the world and is the one state that could most easily exist on their own, along with Texas, but with the hatred that exists between Northern and Central California for the Southern part, and the hatred of Oregon and Washington for all of California, (even though Californians make up half of both states and also they are responsible for bringing tremendous wealth to these two states) it really is an impossible scenario.

Does that include Santa Cruz? Probably.

No, because:
1. There's no agreement to do so in those states
2. And who is leading this movement?
3. There would be war - Americans against former Americans, again
4. If you cut out SoCal you lose a lot of economic base
5. The cost of erecting a wall along the border with Old US would be prohibitive, but without it, people would just move around like they do today as though they were in good "old" America.

Yes, I think that California sould definintley seced from the Union.

You can make the case for Texas to secede and the New England states too.

In fact, the world would be better off if the USA broke into about 8 smaller countries.
It has become unmanagable in its current form.

I'm gonna have to say "No" to this one. Are you by any chance using a special proxy IP connection from the Bizzaro Universe?

EDIT: I gave "Vegan" a special thumbs up just for having an inverted silhouette for an avatar! Cool.

That's kind of a random ? but I'd say not if they can help it. They'd be screwed without the support of the rest of the US and then everyone else would just hate them. So, no. But if they want to be rebellious and all, then why not?

No. We should simply arrange teleportation of the population of those places to France, where they'll be happier, I'm sure--at least until the Islamofacists there start rioting and burning their cars.
