Absolutely. Only traditional mainstream Christian churches are scrutinized for their tax exemptions under 501(c)(3). And only tax exemptions for predominantly white Christian churches are ever publically challenged. Pat Robertson has given the IRS a permanent office in his buildings, having been audited so many times.
Remember Bill crying in the black churches? Try having Bush do that in a white church.

As much as it makes my head hurt to say so, I'm in favor of the NOI retaining tax exempt status. If theirs is revoked because they hold unpopular beliefs, what's next? Taking away the tax exempt status of mainstream Christian churches because they disapprove of homosexuality?

<> they might, and do - however the tax-exempt status of religions could not replace even if how many human beings think of it would. thank you US shape! <> i think of you're way perplexed. First - Obama isn't a Catholic. As such, Obama is honestly not attending Catholic Mass nor attempting to get carry of Communion. So, if all of us tries to disclaim him Communion, it is not going to be a Catholic prist. 2nd - Biden IS a Catholic. via his professional-abortion stance, he's without delay excommunicated from the Church. provided that certainty, a clergyman only won't be able to administer Communion to Biden even if if the priest wanted to in my opinion. even with the certainty that, you probable will see Catholic priests administering Communion to Biden - to their own peril. 0.33 - back to Obama; the US Council of Catholic Bishops has promised to confront Obama on his professional-abortion stance, as that's their rght to do because of the certainty those bishops are individuals. <> the annual funds of Vatican city is extra or less an identical length as that of the city of Chicago - not just about adequate to "positioned a dent" in something, in no way concepts the deficit. it is irrelevant besides as teh shape forbids the taxation of non secular institutions. <> so a techniques as taxing religions? No. The business enterprise of religion in united statesa. is risk-free by using the 1st replace. not one of the 1st Ten Amendments can get replaced the two.

Good question. Yes, they have tax exempt status. They've toned down their anti white rhetoric but no doubt there's still an element of reactionary hate in their religion.

It has tax-exempt status, not as a religious organization but rather as a regular non-profit.
Even they don't consider themselves a "religious organization."

Just like any other retarded religious organization, if it were up to me we would tax all religious organizations more than the oil companies.
