Have you ever been in a bar and someone plays the entire album or the same song serveral times in a row on the junk box and the bartender uses the remote to skip the songs? LOL

My friend Jake the bartender does it all the time. I try not to encourage him but sometimes it has to be done.

I mean come on... Noboby wants to here the same song 4 times in a row or the entire Talking Heads album from start to finish.

Dude pull the plug. In respect to all the other people in the bar you should have the common decency and courtesy not to do something like that.

You can play yout favs just mix it up a little.

I've been a bartender for 13 years and I've seen this happen a thousand times. I've always gone by what the rest of the crowd thinks. If everyone is complaining, I eject the song(s) and tell them the jukebox is screwing up again, give the person who played the music their dollar back, and encourage everyone else to get up there and put their money in QUICK! LOL!

if it is my money in the jukebox, and my choice of songs, then if the bartender did that to me, i'd be very upset indeed. it he doesn't want to hear that song, take it out of the box. if the music bothered him that much, either remove the jukebox or quit and get a different job. so, short answer, NOT fair.

I totally agree with you no one wants to hear the same album all night long, and someone should tell that person to stop doing it, and if he keeps it up than use the remote.

I think it's completely fair. If it was only going to be you listening to the song then who cares, but you have to be at least somewhat considerate of the people around you!

LOL, thats pretty funny.... my local bar (i waitress there when they are short with the help) has a DJ and one night he was sick and sent his brother in his place... he played damn Soggy Bottom Boys & the bar manager kicked him out and let me take over!

(bar music is important, it has to be good music, so people will dance... because dancing makes you thirsty and when bar patrons are thirsty sales go up)

I agree. That person can listen to that song/album as much as they want on their own time.

Yep, I have even asked that it be done, and gave the guy his money back so he didn't lose anything.

Hearing the same song over and over again can be. . .annoying is a good word for that. . .

If they pay for the song, it is not fair. If the jukebox is free, then it is fair game.

It is very fair...the bartender is in charge...what he/she says goes!
