What should the federal government do to promote greater prosperity for all?

I just finished learning about economics and social policy and i'd really like to know what people think the federal government should do to promote greater prosperity for all?

It is a proven fact that everytime the federal income tax was lowered personal prosperity leaped upwards while the jobless rate plunged. Face it -- the more the feds stay out of American's personal economics the richer we become, which in turn sparks the ecomomy and creates more jobs, less inflation and higher stock markets.

Let the government keep away from economy, wars and trading. All citizens will gain a lot of prosperity

Quit letting the corporations, other big business and the wealthy run the country. Their greed has no boundarys. And they surely don't care about the middle class and the poor.

Cut back some of the programs that cater to the poor. Instead of helping someoe over a rough spot,they've fostered dependency on govt programs.

quit giving each other raises, i think there should be a way to check to see where all the money from taxes are going. I know there are congressman that get paid and don't do a thing.
