I Love America. What I really hate is when people make over simplistic generalizations that make no sense.

If we hated it we'd move. If we loved it we'd work to make it better... and considering the mess YOUR fine president has put us in you really ought to stop spewing the hate of Limbaugh, and start getting a mind of your own.

Do you think it is GREAT that thousands of families have been destroyed so that we could be in a war that we should have never been in to start with? Don't get all high and mighty with me - My husband was called up 2 weeks before my son was born.... So don't you DARE tell me I hate my country. Have you sent yourself, your son or your daughter off to fight this pointless war? I doubt it.

Good question. Generally, that is the perception of most of the country, which is unfortunate for myself, being a democrat.
However, I am a democrat, second, patriot, first.
Also, having a family that escaped Islam back in the 1950's helps, as we knew this was coming back then.
We've let liberals and socialists use the party for their own goals, and we deserve what we have. However, it would be in the best interests of the Republican party to help rebalance our party, and face the seditious behavior of those who undermine this country, together.

Oh, posting seditous pictures insulting our elected representatives doesn't help. It just means you've joined the same people, against those of us who WON'T do that because it undermines our country (though dialogue, legislation, and protest can be very patriotic).

Democrats have the right to disagree, dissent, and protest.

Sedition, however, is contemptible. Don't join them just because they do it. Fight them. Remove your post about the "pic of a congressional democrat". Post your strong views about democratic behavior.

Keep speaking up, regardless of what you do. I will as well, on the other side of the aisle.

I see Americans over there. Not the enemy.

I am a Democrat and love our country. I am also disappointed in it lately. I want as many people in our country to have opportunites to live the American Dream. I don't think the Republicans feel the same way...or maybe they go about this acquisition in a manner I do not understand. I would ask this question instead...why are Republicans so resistent to new ideas and change?

Republicans love the rich tradition and culture that IS America. Democrats want to change that to be more like European countries ie; France, Norway, Germany etc. They want more new world order and UN mandates. Whereas Republicans like our government just the way our forefathers made it up to be. Republicans believe that the Constitution is a document that means exactly what it says. Dems believe it is a "living, breathing document" that should evolve with the times.

Its all on how you look at it.. From my view.. the Republicans are driving the country into the ground. Just as the Democrats are.

Because both parties are broken it is time to get people in that know how to run the country correctly..

I think most of them are sorely misguided about Socialism. They are looking for a Utopia and they only can see that side of Socialism, ignoring the reasons it has always failed and always will.

They are negative in general. Just like most addicts and alcoholics; they are only thinking about the high, not the trouble or hangover it will cause.

That is just how a negative outlook works. So when some people say Democrats are brain damaged, there is a little truth to it. Republicans handle what comes, even if it means war. That in no way means we enjoy it, but you do what you have to do.

And I for one, can comprehend what you mean when you talk in generalizations.

edit - to DECKAPE below me: Blacks and minorities are not the ones taking most of the foodstamps. Go sit in a food stamp waiting room one day before you make another racists remark!

This used to be a great country...now it sucks. This is the beginning of the end for this empire. There isn't really any great distinction between Dems and Republicans. Corporations are now the ones in power. Our sovereignty is slowly being eroded by trans-national corporations. So who cares about the point of view of some stupid party.

Yes but it also appears that because the Obama administration has taken out so many of the trainers and command structure that those who are attacking are much less effective because they have inferior training, and much more likely to turn over on those who trained them and sent them which means those left are able to be targeted sooner. What those of you who keep saying President Obama is a muslim keep missing is that because he was born of a muslim father but is a christian President Obama is a bigger target because he is considered worse than an infidel. The worst thing to a muslim is someone born of a muslim father who renounces that faith for christianity, making President Obama a TARGET not a sympathizer.

Answer: Yes! Democrats are terrible! Short of power corrupts, and Americas left is so wanton of that corruption yet again...Let's evaluate "Great".
Got America into Viet-Nam, for votes...Micro-managed from that point until "popular opinion" showed votes the other way.
Changing horses in the middle of the stream the vote hungry cowardly left sold out America, Viet-Nam and all the military personnel their policies killed. It worked then! And they are doing it again!
Hey! They buy off China with missile guidance technology, N.Korea with nuclear hardware and tech but ..Hey!
All they did was betray America! It is now the republicans fault and their problem to deal with Right!
But don't you count on the socialist anti-American left to lift a positive finger!
They will do yet another Chamberlain with the enemy and sell us out even further.
Every group wants power...Only Americas democrat left will offer up and sacrifice our republic to achieve that ambition.

Republicans believe YOU can make the best for you and your family only in this country. Democrats believe that everyone is the same and needs the government to oversee everything that anybody does.....equality with no ambition.
