Power is resources at disposal and control - can be people, things, abilities. Sense of power can theoretically drive the one who owns it to execute things he/she doesn't need to (or shouldn't) or apply too much power than he/she has to apply to accomplish something, often just destroying the objective. The later one, i would say has to do with needing limits. other thought about the limit may be that unlimited power held by one entity can make the person feel invincible and eventually be driven by a strong ego, not respecting the power as it should be.

Power is not something that needs limits. Rather, you need power in order to set limits.
In order for there to be a stable limit on behaviour, there has to be an acceptance of some sort of absolute power.
Where there are powers and counterpowers, it is necessary to have some means of arbitration, which constitutes the source of absolute power over a society.
The more power that someone has, the happier they will be. But, with power comes responsiblity. In fact, it's not possible to separate the concepts of power and responsibility because they basically amount to the same thing.
Look up Nietzsche who has interesting things to say about the 'will to power', and Kant who is a useful foundation for this sort of thing.

Power is the ability to direct energy in a positive or negative way. Since for every action there is a reaction then power has limitations.

Hi Ajica Nuna,
Power, is merely an agent, or a tool in the hands of the owner to be used... as and how he/she chooses to.....
>>>>>>
" The more power you have, the more you should bend down"
>>>>>>>
It is a rare human being, who can refuse to let power allotted them corrupt them, even if only to a small degree.... Humans are, by nature, selfish, so power, once obtained, is then directed to the wants of the holder... The more power, the more wants are acquired, at the expense of anyone who stands in the way of obtaining them.....
>>>>>>>>>>>>
Thanks, for the question! :)
My regards!

It's the ability to control oneself and also to control others. When it needs to have limits is when the control over self or others is actually damaging, and both can happen. Just because we can choose to do something doesn't mean that it is the best thing we should do. "Everything may be lawful but not everything is expedient" (good for us).

Power is like energy, or a feeling you might get. You may feel powerful over ruling something... or may feel powerful for being strong.

Power is freedom. I'm not agree with the quote "power corrupts everything". it's just that humans must know that freedom requires responsibility.

(Gen 11:6) And the LORD said, Behold, the people [is] one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
( Gen 11:7) Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
(Gen 11:8) So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
( Gen 11:9) Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
OR
(Jhn 12:1) Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
(Jhn 12:17) The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
(Rom 6:9) Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead died no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
(Act 13:30) But God raised him from the dead:
Now that is Power!!!

Having power means to hav ethe ability to do something, anyhting that may be. Thus, the more "powerful" you are the more you can do.
