How many different models and planes have ben built and flown by the U.S.military

Your question is confusing and a bit broad for a simple answer. Did you mean to ask, "How many different types of aircraft have been built for the US military?"
When you toss in models, I am uncertain what models means. There are mock ups, small wind tunnel models, model 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 of a particular type aircraft, etc. There are a lot of models that were built for the military but never accepted into quantity manufacture, and usage. Also, there are fighter aircraft, helicopters, amphibians, airships, bomber aircraft, remote controlled aircraft, reconnaissance aircraft, Special Purpose Aircraft, and transport aircraft.
