My husband and I want to have a baby (been trying) and are hoping to get pregnant. We may not be able to, but if we do and we have a baby girl we want to name her : Madeline (pronounced Mad-ah-lyn) James
what do you think?
James is the hubby's middle name and if we have a son his name will be Cameron James. I want to use it no matter since we may only be able to have one child together.
(I have a son with my ex named Joshua Xyon)

Madeline James and Cameron James...I love them both! They are both first names that flow together beautifully with James. And I love that you are using dads name in them...I love that kind of traditional thinking, spiced up with a modern twist. I say go for it...either way!
Good luck to you both, in your baby making!!! God bless!

I like it. Madelyn was going to be my first born but he ended up a boy. I like James for the middle name it is different. And how often do we use middle names anyways. As she gets older she could be Madeline J. Last Name.

Madeline is really nice! I like it spelt Madelyn better but both are cool! I like the name Madelyn Jane. It is sorta like Madelyn James but feminine. James is cool too. I had a friend named Shelby James. She was a girl! I hope you can have children and I wish you luck! I hope this helps.

I don't like James for a girls middle name even if it is Daddys... For a boy its ok... Madeline is a very cute name. Will she like it as an adult? Would you like to have that as your name as an adult? Cameron is nice and cute. Good luck! I hope you have your baby! If not more than one!

Madeline is wonderful and James is great as a middle name whether the child is a boy or girl. As long as it means something to you, it will end up meaning something to your baby.
Good luck in conceiving this child.

I think madeline is a beautiful name...i guess it really doesn't matter about middle names...people are always using "family" names so who cares if it's technically a boys name.

I don't think you should have James be a middle name for a girl.Jamie or Amy would be better.Cameron James is o.k. but only because you have James in there. How about Carter?

I like it! My middle name is a boy's name. It is after my dad;s best friend, when I was born. My name is Megan Donavon C. & I've always been proud of it. It has meaning, not just a name someone liked.

Personally, I would not name my daughter that but, this is your choice. Another option...what about Madeline Jae? Best of luck to you and your husband....:)
