Ye Gods, does it not make you wish to vomit. Racism still exists.

It certainly exists in Zimbabwe. Whites who were quite happy to support the Mugabe regime have been booted from their farms, and have left the country. The new tenants of the land seem not to know the difference between millet, maize, militancy or the Hampton Court maze. Result-starvation.

Zimbabwe also manages sub-racism. You are not safe if you are black. Mashona and Matabele are doing their best in their opposition to each other to light a shining star as an example of potential genocide. Unfortunately, the population of Zimbabwe will largely have starved to death before the statistics of genocide exceed 6 million. These deaths will only be deaths by association with State crime. Himmler laughs from his urn and says 'I told you so'.

It depends how racism is defined.
In the UK we have laws against racism, for example if a psychical assault is racially motivated the crime is far more serious and perpetrators will get heavier sentences.

,We don't call black people niggers for example as this would be deemed racist, yet my parents and most born at the turn of the century would refer to black people like this. my dad called them nigs for example, a derogatory term but not aggressively racist yet he was the nicest man you could meet , obviously this clouded my judgement but with travel and working with them found they were the same as anyone else good and bad. he just never had any experience of being with them or any education that racism is wrong.

Thankfully our schools nowadays teach that racism is wrong and my girls 14 and 15 fail to understand why someone would be judged on their skin colour.
so the future is bright

No, all racism was abolished last night at 12 midnight. You can go back to sleep for the next 50 years.

Yes, it has never gone away.
Here in the USA, racism has changed somewhat though since the days of slavery in the South.
Now, its two biggest promoters are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

sadly and unfortunately yes. people just dislike people for the color of their skin, their nationality, or religion. i am not one of them.many times i hear rude racism comments about religion or nationality.people can't lose any jobs just because of their race. it is a federal law to not give someone a job cuz they are man or woman, black or white, Muslim or christian , or even Colombian or Italian. but racism still exists.
